How to write the resume of your dreams

First of all, choose your word processor

Many job seekers use MS word when creating their resume template, and they are making a good choice. MS Word is a word processor that allows you to format your content in any desired way. If you are in a big rush, there are resume templates you can use on the app. However, most of those templates are not ATS-friendly, so you will be taking a risk.

Give yourself a strong introduction

The first thing a potential employer sees on your resume must be your name. Ensure that your name really stands out on your resume. Use a larger font size and bold text for your name. Include your first and last names but avoid mentioning your middle names and nicknames. You should use these same names for all the documents in your job application. Follow your name with a strong resume headline that highlights your skills and expertise.

Tell the recruiter how they can reach you

Contact details must be given an important place on your resume. Make sure that your contact details are clearly visible. Don’t overcrowd this section by mentioning multiple phone numbers and email addresses. One personal phone number and email should be enough. Categorize the sections

Now’s a great time to decide which sections you are going to include in your resume. Create subheadings for each section and ensure that they are labeled properly with traditional titles. Once you have filled out all the resume sections, you can decide on the final layout.

Write a strong resume summary

The resume summary is an important section. This is the place where you talk about your biggest professional achievements and your best skills. An impactful resume summary has the power to grab the attention of recruiters from the get-go. Ensure that your resume summary is not too long and stays between two and four sentences. Also, talk about what the employer will gain out of hiring you in the summary statement.
